All my spare moments are taken up with writing, day-dreaming and tapping into the "Imagination Department", often into the small hours. And by day, I work as deputy chief sub editor at the glossy interiors magazine Homes & Gardens.

My dream is to give up the nine to five rat race, spend less time on the Tube battling my way to work (isn't that everyone's?!), and devote my days to writing in the attic room of my Buckinghamshire home.

I was born in suburban Harrow, Middlesex, and have been a journalist for 20 years, having trained first as a secretary at the BBC and then attending the London College of Printing.

My first novel A Season of Leaves is out in paperback. Click on the link to find out more.

I finished my second novel - Tides of the Moon - just after New Year and my agent is searching for a publisher for it. Click on the Tides of the Moon link to find out more.

And I have just started work on my third novel, set in Cornwall and Sydney, Australia, so watch this space...
